  SYNOPSIS

When a vicious storm breaks out in the Nevada desert, 10 people seek refuge in an isolated motel. At the same time, a serial killer (Pruitt Taylor Vince) under the care of psychiatrist Doctor Mallick (Alfred Molina) -- who has just found the killer's revealing journal -- awaits execution for murdering a group of motel guests. When the storm-stranded travelers realize they are being killed off one by one, limo driver Ed Dakota (John Cusack) bids to stay alive and reveal the murderer's identity.

NEW YORK TIMES

Reasonably well-executed thriller. It suffers not from awkwardness or silliness, which would make it more fun, but rather from its air-brushed, expensive pretentiousness.

WASHINGTON POST

It's not art, but it's fun artfully done. And as long as you're paying less than the price of a cheapo motel for the night, it's worth checking into.

EMPIRE

Despite a fresh approach, Identity tangles itself in such a heavyweight premise that it collapses and drowns out most of its plus points.

 MY TAKE

This movie will give you a mind-blowing experience. It is one of gems of Mystery/Thriller genre. I did not anticipate the ending at all. Also, the actors did their best. Their tremendous performance must be recognized.

John Cusack is exactly the hero that "identity" needs. I believe Cusack is one of the most underrated actors of our time. After watching, this flick stays with you. For me, Identity will remain as one of the best thrillers ever made.
The acting, the story, the directing...everything was perfect. This is one of the movie that I like to re-watch again and again.
